Creating festive tags for your furry friends!

Merry Christmas everyone! Today I’m creating some fun, festive gift tags for the furry friends in your life! These tags are so much fun to make and can also be used as festive ornaments, so I hope you will try them out.

You can click the link below to watch the video process, or read on to see how I created these.

I began by coloring my images with my Copic markers and cutting them out with coordinating dies. I used a cat from the Cozy Kitties Stamp Set, a dog from the Fangtastic Furballs Stamp Set and a cute little hamster from the Hello Squeakheart Stamp Set.

I die cut all my pieces from the Pretty Pawsome Die Set – I used White, A Cherry on Top and Oreo Crunch Cardstock as well as Heffy Doodle Extra Thick Acetate for my shaker window. To make life easier, I cut my shaker ‘wells’ from some craft foam rather than messing around with foam tape on all the little pieces.

I took the white paw print pieces and scored them along the top just shy of 1/4″ from the edge. I then took the ‘Did someone say treats’ sentiment from the Fangtastic Furballs Stamp Set and stamped it in red ink on the centre of the white paws.

Next up, it was time to start gluing everything together. I glued the red outline paw prints to the acetate and the craft foam ‘wells’ to the black cardstock paws. I glued two red tag pieces together, to make them stronger and then glued them to the top of the front of the white paw piece just above the scoreline. I then sandwiched the white and black cardstock pieces together with the red tag in the middle.

I added glitter into the shaker wells and then secured the acetate pieces on top with liquid glue. All that was left was to attach some red and white twine to the tag pieces and my little shaker tags were all done!

Such a fun little project and perfect for attaching to that furry friends Christmas treat!

Thank you so much for joining me. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
