Chimply The Best -Cards!

Hello friends!! Chitra here and I am super excited to be guest designing for Heffy Doodle this month, I just LOVEEE their cute collections of stamps and dies so it was so cool being asked to guest design..Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity..

I have made two cards for todays post using this sweet set called Chimply The Best, I adore the monkeys in this set.

For the first card I started by stamping the images onto white alcohol friendly cardstock using Tuxedo black ink and colored with Prisma colored pencils. Then using the matching dies I cut out the images.

I took a white cardstock panel and used Distress oxide inks (Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Bough and Antique Linen) to color the background. I took another white cardstock panel and die-cut out a shaped window out of it.

Once everything was ready I started assembling my card on an white A2 cardbase. I glued the ink-blended panel first then adhered the images and finally adhered the window panel using foam squares. The sitting monkey is also adhered using foam squares. Finally I stamped the sentiment using black ink.

For my second card I pretty much followed the same steps. I stamped, colored and die-cut out the images first.

Took a white cardstock panel and ink-blended it using Distress oxide inks(Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint and Antique Linen) then placed Dotty Lottie stencil on top of it and repeated the inkblending process.

I took the shaped cut out which I got from my first card and ink-blended with the same oxide inks. I splattered some ink on both the panels and once everything was dry I stamped the sentiment using black ink and then started assembling my card.

I took an A2 white cardbase and glued the inked panel on top and then adhered the shaped panel using some foam squares, I started adhering the cute images with glue to create a cute Birthday scene.

Thank you so very much for stopping by the Heffy Doodle blog today and checking out my projects, hope you liked it!
