Bark Less, Play More! Slimline Scene with Laura

Hi everyone! It’s Laura Volpes here, with another slimline scene card featuring products from the Heffy Doodle July 2020 release!

This time I used stencils to create my landscape and I absolutely love the result! I adore all the scene building stencils by Heffy Doodle, and I was very excited for the release of the Green Fields Stencil this past July!

The images I used for today’s card are part of the Hot Diggity Dog and Who Let the Dogs Out stamp sets. These sets are SO fun and work just perfectly together! I stamped the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Proof Black Ink and colored them with Illustrator alcohol markers. Once I was done coloring, I die cut them all with the Hot Diggity Dog and Who Let the Dogs Out coordinating dies.

For my card background, I used dies in the Slimline Pull Tab Dies and Stitched Slimline Trio Dies. I die cut some Cookie Monster cardstock with the largest slimline stitched rectangle die and some watercolor cardstock with the slimline scallop rectangle die. I then did some ink blending to create the grass and the sky. I used the Grassy Fields and Cloudy Skies stencils and Wendy Vecchi Blendable Inks in the colors Garden Patina, Prickly Pear and Fern Green.

I  used the Close the Gate die to create a wooden gate. I die cut the shapes out of some watercolor cardstock and added color and shading with Wendy Vecchi Blendable Inks in the colors Potting Soil and Watering Can.

I created some tree branches with the Forest Builder Dies and the Coordinating Dies to the Fluffy Puffy Unicorn stamp set. I stamped the sentiment directly on my card base and glued everything down to create my playful scene.

As a finishing touch, I added some highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen and coated the eyes of the doggies with a black Glaze Pen.

And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this post and liked this colorful and happy card I created with products from the Heffy Doodle July 2020 Release!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Love the texture in your coloring! Cute cute adorable scene! Not one of those pups has the “I didnt do it face”. Tee hee… guilty party must have left through that gorgeous gate!
