Adding Texture with a Solid Stamp with Isha

Today, I have a fun CAS card for you sharing a technique on how to add some texture using the solid stamps for some added interest to the card.

Hello Heffy Doodlers! Happy 2019! Hope you had a wonderful time with your friends and family. So, I took a little break with all the winter themed cards and wanted to play with some fresh colors and techniques. I am using Whatcha Saying Now, Jet Alphabetters  stamp sets and Wishes Heffy Cuts.

I started by creating my mat layer, so picked up some of the ink colors to my liking. I then took the solid bubbles from the Whatcha Saying Now stamp set. Ink the stamp by tapping it onto the ink pad, then swipe it onto the ink pad and stamp onto the paper. Now swiping the stamp will create this fun texture instead of stamping the solid image.

I really love this technique. I simply stamped the images repeatedly using various ink colors. I then flicked some black ink and let this dry. Meanwhile, I stamped and embossed the alphabets to create the word BIRTHDAY and cut them in blocks. I die cut the word WISHES, applied versamark ink and embossed using embossing powder. I cut the word two more times and stacked them all together to get the dimensional chipboard look.

Assemble everything together and the card is ready. Hope you liked this technique. If you do try it, please tag Heffy Doodle or me. We would love to see your creations. Have a happy crafty day 🙂
