A Fun Christmas Box Card

Hi everyone, Jordy back again with another Christmas card for you and this time I’m creating this fun interactive 3D box card. This was so much fun to put together and super easy, so I hope it will inspire you to try something similar.

You can watch the process video here or read on to see how this one came together.

I began by cutting all the pieces of my Brooke 3D Box Card from some white cardstock and used the light green spotted paper from the Tinsel Town Paper Pack to add the details. I white heat embossed my sentiment onto some Cherry On Top cardstock and glued it to the front panel. The sentiment comes from the Little Labels Stamp Set and I used the flag banner from the Little Labels Add-On Die to cut it out.

I stamped out my images from the Fireside Dreams Stamp Set and coloured them in with my Copic markers. I used the Coordinating Dies and my Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine to cut them out. I glued them in place on my box card and cut one of the Stitched Triangle Trees from more of the Tinsel Town Paper Pack to add to the background.

At this point, I felt my card was looking a little bare, so I added a small Snazzy Snowflake, which I cut from some gold glitter cardstock, to the top of my tree and embellished some more with some Tinsel Town Enamel Dots. I coloured the stack of presents from the Fireside Dreams Stamp set and added it beside the fireplace and finished off with the dog’s Christmas Pudding image which came from the Simon Says Stamp Happy Howlidays exclusive stamp set.

This card turned out so fun and despite looking complicated, it’s a complete doddle to put together. I hope you’ll be tempted to try creating a box card too!

Thank you so much for joining me and I look forward to sharing more ideas with you soon.
