Geology Rocks And So Does Mom

Hello Heffy Doodlers! It’s Jessica M. here and today I’m thinking ahead to May featuring Geology Rocks! In the US and Canada we celebrate Mother’s Day on May 13^th but I think this card would work all year round.

I started by creating the card front and die cut an A2 sized stitched rectangle with Neenah Solar White 110LB card stock. To set the scene, I die cut a large heart with grey shimmering card stock and heat set jewel images with white embossing powder. For the centre of the heart, I added a stitched circle and stamped “MOM” from my stash masking  the “O” and placed the heart jewel in the centre. I added a sentiment strip using black card stock and white embossing powder for a pop of contrast.

To embellish the card front, I stamped various jewel images on watercolor paper and colored using Spectrum Noir Aqua Tint pens, for a little dimension I used 3D foam tape. To finish off the card I added Glossy Accents to the heart jewel, sequins and a little shine with using my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen.
