You are my Sunshine with Tammy

Hi friends! Tammy here sharing my second project as a guest designer for Heffy Doodle this month! I used the adorable set, Quack Me Up, to create this bright and happy card – sure to brighten someone’s day!

To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 1/4 X 8 1/4″ and ink blended the sky with Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I splattered some clean water and Blueprint Sketch, thinned with water, onto the background with a paintbrush to add some interest. I then taped off a 1/2″ strip at the bottom of my card and blended some gray ink onto it. Next, I placed the Rain On My Parade Stencil onto my background and used White Glitter Glitz Gel over it to create some sparkly raindrops.

Next, I stamped the images from Quack Me Up, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Quack Me Up Dies.   I arranged the stamped images onto my card, using Foam Tape  on some for dimension.

I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a black strip of cardstock, then die cut white and yellow cardstock, using the Sunshine – Heffy Cuts.  I layered the yellow die cut over the white, slightly offset, then attached to the center of my card to create a fun, bold sentiment.  Lastly, I adhered my card front to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2″ white card base to complete my card!
