Yappy Birthday Card
Hello, friends! Thi here from @lemonteacrafts and I am so thrilled to guest for Heffy Doodle this month! I have always loved seeing cards other designers made with Hefty Doodle products so I was so excited to play with a few cute Heffy Doodle stamp sets. Today I am sharing a birthday card I made with Who Let The Dogs Out stamp set.

To start, I stamped all the images with a dark brown hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers. Next, I fussy cut my images out – I know this set does have coordinating dies available but sometimes a girl just wants to sit and enjoy the zen that is fussy cutting.

I set the images aside to work on my background. I cut an A2 size piece of Bristol smooth card stock and inkblended grass with a stencil in Dixtress Oxide in Shabby Shutters. For the “sky”, I inkblended the top of the card in Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers. Since Distress Oxide is reactive to water, I splashed some water on the background and blotted with a paper towel to remove some fo the ink for interested. For additional interest, I added some splatters of Shabby Shutter all over the panel.

While the background dried, I mounted some of the images with foam tape for dimension.
When the background is completely dry, I heat embossed the sentiment “Yappy Birthday” onto the background with white embossing powder.

To finish the card, I arranged a scene and adhered all my images! And that’s it! My card is finished!
