We’re over the Moon with Special Guest Tracy Freeman
Hi everyone, It’s Tracy aka Inkyfingers and Ribbon with you today and I am super excited to be a guest on the Heffy Doodle Blog. I hadn’t made a galaxy style card for a while and couldn’t resist using the You’re Weird stamp set.
To start off I trimmed down some watercolour card to 5.5” x 4.5, I chose liquid watercolours to create this, but you can use any water-based mediums.
When creating this sort of project I always make sure to have a good flat brush and plenty of kitchen towels.
I start off by soaking the paper and then adding my colours where I want them, this is a base layer and honestly always looks a hot mess at this stage.
Once this is dry I got in with darker colours to deepen it more. I then allow it to dry and add some details with a white gel pen.
I then stamped my images using a light coloured ink pad so I could no line colour using Spectrum Noir Markers. For the Space Ship, I coloured over the lights and decided to add some clear drops for dimension.
For the control panel, I used a silver gel pen to colour it just for something a little different. I then worked out where I wanted everything on the card and heat embossed the sentiment and the Ship window.
To add something a little extra I couldn’t resist googly eyes to the little alien as well as using a gold pen to colour his little horns and clear sparkle to the ship cover/window.
How fun is he?
To finish off the card, I mounted the piece onto some silver glitter card and adhered it to a top folding card.
I had SO MUCH fun creating this card and I am so grateful to have been asked to Guest on the Heffy Doodle Blog today and cannot thank Lesley and team enough.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have an amazing day and happy crafting.
