Welcome baby…
Hello everyone!
Sindhu here. I have a baby card to share today.
I used the ‘Honey bunny boo‘ stamp set and coordinating dies. I also used ‘Clover frames‘ dies. The die set has such beautiful assortment of dies but my favorite is the stitched rectangle die that cuts exactly 4.25″×5.5″ stitched rectangle panel. It adds a lot of interest when the card design itself is very simple. There is also a decorative frame that is absolutely stunning. When you die cut using that frame, you are also left with a shaped die cut along with a beautiful frame. I used both of them on my card.
The scalloped frame on this card is from Neat and Tangled.
Here is how I made the card…
I started by die cutting all the panels used on the card- the stitched rectangle, scalloped rectangle, the decorative frame.
Then, I sponged green ink on the bottom of the shaped die cut (left after die cutting the decorative frame.) to ground the bunnies.
I adhered the stitched rectangle panel on the card base measuring 4.25″×5.5″.
Then, I die cut the decorative frame from the scalloped panel which left a window that I later used to inlay my die cut frame. I took time at this step as I wanted it to be centred perfectly.
Sponged the scalloped rectangle with a very light peach coloured ink along the edges to give a soft, dreamy look to my card. At this point, I decided to add a sentiment. I stamped a sentiment from ‘Eggcellent news‘ stamp set.
I backed the window with a thin white piece of paper that let me inlay the die cut frame and also add foam adhesive to the panel for more dimension.
I decided to add more dimension while adding back the shaped diecut with bunnies. instead of just ‘in-laying’ it, I added some foam behind the die cut to pop it up further.
Finally, I adhered the scalloped rectangle panel on stitched rectangle panel that has already been adhered to the card base.
I hope you like the card… 🙂
Hugs..
Sindhu.
