Welcome Baby
Hello, everyone! It’s Cassie here and I’m back with another card to share with you all! There are a lot of people in my life who are starting or growing their families lately, and I wanted to use the new release products to create a cute baby card. It’s so easy with the sweet images and dies to do just that. Here’s a look at my card.
This simple card would be so easy to mass produce, and you could change the colors depending on who you were giving it to! I’m thinking I might head back to the craft room and make a small batch of these in different colors so that I can have them on hand for the future! I started by die cutting the Baby die from some 110 lb card stock. I made sure to save the little inner pieces of the word so that I could add them back later. Then I took my card base and ink blended some Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick in the area that would be shown through the die cut word. I wanted it to look ombre, with darker more concentrated color at the bottom fading to lighter color at the top.
Next, I stamped and colored in two of the adorable bunnies from Honey Bunny Boo and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I also did some the carrots from the set. I love that the bigger bunny’s arm is cut out with it’s matching die so that I could tuck the carrot into his paw. You’ll find a lot of these kind of features with the different sets from release three! It really enhances the possibilities for creating! I die cut a grass strip and ink blended Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron onto it. That is my favorite color combo when I’m doing a grassy border. I adhered the grass and bunnies to the bottom of the card.
Finally, I stamped ‘welcome from the Eggcellent News stamp set just above the baby die with Versamark ink, and heat embossed gold embossing powder over it. That finished off my sentiment! I adhered the whole card panel to the card base and made sure to add in those inner parts of the word with some liquid glue.
That’s it for today’s card! I hope you enjoyed it! I’m in a spring mood, even though we have a good couple months before spring will start to show here in Minnesota. But I guess for now these sweet bunnies will have to do 🙂 Do you have spring fever yet? Thanks so much for stopping by, and I will see you again soon with another card!
