(VIDEO) Using Ink-Blended Dies to Create a Scene with Jessica Frost-Ballas
Hello! Jessica Frost-Ballas here with my first video for Heffy Doodle! You can watch the video below or over at our YouTube channel!
Today I’m sharing how to use ink-blended dies to create a scene! Heffy Doodle carries a bunch of fabulous stand-alone scene dies that can be combined in various ways to create scenes! I’m focusing on Grassy Lass, Stitched Slopey Joe, and Silver Linings Cloud dies for this card!
I lined up all my dies on an A2 panel and then held them in place with purple tape before running them through my die-cutting machine. Then I blended mowed lawn and peeled paint distress oxide ink onto the grass, salty ocean and blueprint sketch onto the pond, weathered wood on the bottom of the clouds, and stormy sky, faded jeans, and chipped sapphire onto the sky.
Next I stamped the sentiments from Quack Me Up onto the sky and pond with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I stamped the sun and ducks from Quack Me Up onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I applied adhesive to a card base and started lining up my dies to create my scene. Then I finished my card by adding in my ducks and sun!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my card! Have a fantastic day!
