Video: Using Dies in Unconventional Ways
I love when I look at the supplies I have and realize that there may be more than one way to use them! Hey, it’s Cassie Trask here to share how I used a die set that was intended for one thing, but ended up using it in another way as well. If you’d like to see exactly how I made this card, you can head on over to the Heffy Doodle YouTube Channel.
I used the Cloudy Skies Stencil to start building up my background. Next I die cut all of my scene elements, such as the grass using the Grassy Lass Border dies, and the trees and mountains using the Forest Builder dies. I stamped my sentiment on the outside of the card using the Hello Everyone stamp set, and stamped and colored my corgis using the Oh Crumbs stamp set. I finished it off by stamping the sentiment on the inside using the Everyday Sentiments Duo stamp set.
Scene building is one of my favorite things to do in card making. Not only do I love using my dies in unconventional ways, but I also really enjoy adding unconventional elements to my scenes. . .like corgis in a forest, lol. I hope you enjoyed my card for you today, and don’t forget to go check out the process video over on the Heffy Doodle YouTube Channel to see exactly how these cards were made. Thanks for stopping by!
