VIDEO: Slimline Beach Birthday Card!

Hello crafty friends, It’s Julia here and today I am back with a new video for Heffy Doodle! I created a fun slimline beach birthday card! You can watch the video here!

I started by stamping out the images from Pandatastic Painters, A Little Shellfish, You Go, Gull, Sealy Friends and Otter Side onto Perfect Coloring Paper and I colored them in using Copic markers. Then, I die cut the Stitched Slimline Trio dies out twice and used one as my background panel and the other to cut my hills out of, so that I would habe the stitching lines all around my card.  Since I don’t own the Slimline Scenery dies yes I used the Stitched Slopey Joes Border and Breaking Waves Border dies. I ran them through my die cutting machine once, lined up the hill / wave and ran them through again, to cut my slimline panel. I also die cut the largest of the Sweet Scalloped Slimline dies as a matting for my background.

I ink blended the background using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide and the Cloudy Skies Stencil. For the waves I used Peacock Feathers and for the beach I used Antique Linen, Tea Dye and Gathered Twigs.

To assemble my card, I added the stitched panel to the scalloped base and both to a Slimline card base and the hills and waves on top of that. After that, I adhered all my adorable images to the card using Glubert  and foam squares. For my sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from A Little Shellfish straight onto the card base.
