Video: Critter Filled Pond Box Card
Hello Friends! Happy Sunday! It’s Lauren and I have a new video to share with you today on the Heffy Doodle YouTube Channel. This month, I am sharing how you can build a pond scene with the Brooke 3D Box Card Dies! I have mixed and matched lots of critters from new and older sets.
Before the video starts, I stamped all of the images in an alcohol marker friendly ink onto Heffy Doodle’s Alcohol Marker Friendly Cardstock and colored my images in with Ohuhu Art Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out on my Mini Die Cutting Machine. I also die cut all of the pieces I need from the Brooke 3D Box Card Dies along with border dies in different colors of cardstock: Cookie Monster, Greenbean, Ice Blast Kiwi Crush, Simply Teal-icious, and White. I also die cut my tree from Greenbean and kraft cardstock from my stash.
Follow along with today’s video to see how I stenciled my pond die cut pieces, added lots and lots of splatter, assembled the Brooke 3D Box Card Dies and added in my cute, colored images. I love that you can use different colored paper for each of the “shelves” to have all kinds of fun building a scene! I think the scene with all the different critters is just so cute and the splatter just really brings a lot of texture to the card. If interactive cards are not your favorite, you can still use this card for inspiration by creating a scene on the front of the card rather than creating a box card.
