To a deer friend 3D box card
Hello crafty friends! My name is Rachel. I’m so excited and honoured to be back as a guest designer for my second project. For my first project, I’ve shared one of my favorite type of cards: monochrome. Now, it is time to share another favorite of mine: 3D box cards!
For this card, I’ve used the following Heffy Doodle products:
Brooke 3D Box Card Dies
Deer To Me Stamps
Nuts About You Stamps
To make this card, I started by die cutting all the pieces from the Brooke 3D box card dies out of some white cardstock. I also cut out three grass pieces and one ground piece to go onto the small panels inside the box. I measured the panels to make sure I cut them into the right size. One of the grass pieces, I placed against the back panel. You can use the Grassy Lass Border Dies and Stitched Slopey Joes border dies for this.
Now it is time to start inking up all of the pieces. I’ve used Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy, Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio, Tea Dye and Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks for this. For the splatters, I’ve used some white acrylic paint. On the stitched background piece, I used the Cloudy Skies Stencil. On the front panel, I stamped my sentiment.
While all the elements for the box card are drying, I stamped out all my images on some alcohol marker friendly paper. You can use Alcohol Marker Friendly Cardstock for this. I coloured them in using my alcohol markers and cut them out. I used a white gel pen to add some white lines and dots details to the images. Then, it was time to assemble the card! I used a combination of liquid glue and double sided tape. I played around with my images placements. When I was happy with their placement, I used liquid glue to adhere them. This way you have some wiggle time.
I’m very happy to have been able to share two cards using Heffy Doodle products. I love how making interactive box cards. I hope you will love it too! If you enjoyed my blog posts and you are curious about my other cards, I would love to connect with you. You can find me on instagram.
Thank you for stopping by the Heffy Doodle blog today! I hope you find some time to get crafty today!
