Teacher Thank You Card
Hi, all! It’s Cassie here, and I’m back on the Heffy Doodle blog to share a bright and fun card that I think any teacher would love to receive. Let’s be honest, there might not be school for a couple months, but teachers are great and it’s never too early to start planning some thank yous for teachers that are rock stars! Today’s card uses Teachers Pet and Teach Me Words stamps to create a cute little scene. Let’s get started.
I started the card for today by masking a piece of 110 lb white card stock with washi tape to create stripes. Then I used my Distress Crayons and scribbled over the open areas of the paper. Using my finger, I smudged the crayon over the entire stripe for each color. I removed the washi tape and set the background aside.
Next I stamped out all of the images from Teachers Pet onto some Copic friendly paper and colored them in. I didn’t end up using all of the images for this card, but I saved the ones I didn’t use and can use them on a card at a later date. Once they were all colored I die cut them out!
I stamped the ‘thank you’ from Teach Me Words onto the black board with VersaMark ink and heat embossed white embossing powder over top. I love the way it looks on that cute little blackboard!
All of the images were arranged onto my background and then I adhered them to it. For some I used my tape runner and some I used foam tape to add dimension. Finally, I added lots of white gel pen accents to everything for some detail.
And that’s my card for today! I hope you enjoyed this rainbow thank you! I know I enjoyed making it 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
