Somefin’ to Say…..
Hello! It’s Mindy from My Creative Scoop and I’m so excited to be guest designing for Heffy Doodle Stamps! I’ve been card-making for going on 13 years! My favorite part is coloring with my Copic Markers – I just love to bring a stamped image to life. I live in Southern California with my hubby and our 3 kids, Ralphy 20, Belle 16 and Katie 12. I’m fortunate enough to have made my hobby a full-time business where I teach online and local Copic classes. Thank you so much for joining me on the Heffy Doodle Blog today, I hope I will inspire you to create!
Today I’m sharing a card using the Oceans of Love Stamp and Die set. It was so much fun coloring these little sea critters using my Copic Markers. Here’s a full color combo list:
Narwhal – BG18, BG13, BG11
Stingray – B21, B23, B24
Jellyfish and Coral – R30, R32
Turtle and Seaweed – YG00, YG13, YG17
Shark – N5, N3, N1, N0
I sponged the background using my distress oxide inks and then I stamped the bubbles from the stamp set into the sponged ocean. Then, I added some glossy accents to those bubbles. All my little sea critters are on foam tape for some extra dimension.
I absolutely LOVE the way this card turned out.
Check out my video below on how I sponged my background.
Here are the colors I used: Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day!
♥ Mindy
