Sending LOVE Slimline Card
Hello lovelies, I hope your weekend is going well. Today I am showing you an easy idea how I made this “LIKE” type Slimline Card. As always, you can find the used supplies below the post.
For this project I have mixed lots of dies from the new Heffy Doodle release, like the Stitched Rounded Imperial Rectangle Dies, the Slimline Envelope, the Slimline Mini Mail Dies as well as the Sweet Scalloped Slimline Dies, but many others as well.
The heart of this card is the Instagram type of like and follow icons in the center of the card. First, I have created 2 die-cuts with the Stitched Rounded Imperial Rectangle Dies from light pink cardstock. Then I made a quick inkblending on them with Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Inkpads to create a gradient look on them. The flap on the bottom of this icon is from the Slimline Envelope die-set, and I just adhered it to the back of my card.
Next, I have created 5 heart shaped die-cuts from the Sweet Scalloped Slimline Dies from white cardstock and adhered them together to have a heavy chipboard looking die-cut. For creating “follow guy” I have used the Skinny Circle Frames Dies. I have also created 5 die-cuts with the “mmwaah” dies from the same Sweet Scalloped Slimline Dies set.
I continued with the die-cutting. I made a couple of small envelopes with the rectangle mini envelopes from the Slimline Mini Mail Die set and created some slimline die-cuts for layering the cardbase with the Stitched Slimline Trio Dies, and the Sweet Scalloped Slimline Dies. On the smallest card front I made a rainbow inkblending with Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks.
Next, I have created die-cuts with the smallest “text message” looking die from the Stitched Rounded Imperial Rectangle Dies. Then I stamped the sentiment to the tealicious cardstock with the Yappy Happy Mail stamp set and watermark ink. Then I heat embossed it with fine white embossing powder. Next, I styled all the pieces together and adhered them with 3D foam squares and liquid adhesive to their right place.
In the end I created a coordinating envelope from Heavy Weight Vellum with the Slimline Envelope #10 Dies and the project was ready. Thank you so much for joining me, I wish you a sweet day. Mona
