Rainy Day Fun

Hello Heffydoodlers! Welcome to the blog! Ali here with a cute and cheerful card made with the adorable Quack Me Up Stamp and die set. I’ve also used more of the fabulous new release – Silver Linings Cloud Border Dies, Rain On My Parade Stencil, and the Sunshine Heffy Cut.  Hope you are loving the new release and we have so many great projects to come! This card has a little of everything – some water colouring, some Copic colouring, some mixed media stenciling and die-cutting! With the new release goodies, you can create complete scenes and finish with perfect sentiments and die-cut words!

I began this card by creating the background with some distress Oxide inks and watercolour paper. I only used a little ink as I didn’t want the background colour to be too dark and overpower the images. I used the rain stencil with some Nuvo Glimmer Paste to create pretty sparkly raindrops on the background making sure it was dry before I moved on.  I then die cut the cloud border dies from white cardstock to use them to frame my image. I then used the stitched retangle die (metric) to complete my background panel.

I coloured the images from the stamp set with Copics and die-cut them with the corresponding dies. I coloured some rainbow stripes on some white card with copics and die-cut my Sunshine word from this. I adhered my images and words to the front of the card and adhered to a white cardbase.
