Rainbow Greeting Card With Steph
Hello Everyone!
It’s Steph here from Whirled of Papercraft! I’m an Aussie carmaker and paper crafter and I’m so thrilled to be sharing a project as a guest designer on the Heffy Doodle blog for the first time!
For today’s project, I have this super sweet and simple greeting card that sure to brighten anyone’s day!
This card came together so quick and with just a few Hefty Doodle products! I started out with some white card stock, cut with the Whimsically Wonky Imperial Rectangles Dies. I love a good, versatile die set, and this one is just perfect for adding just a little detail around the edges to help frame whatever magic you create for your card fronts!
I can’t resist a good rainbow! Though, I often find myself going a little wild with all the colours I want to add to get that perfect gradient in colour. Here are my staples for a simple rainbow, using the Love is Everywhere Stencil. These hearts are just so adorable! And while I ran out of space to add all of my ink colours to the hearts, I simply sprinkled some of the purple over the top, along with some white gold watercolour pigment to tie it all together!
Once my ink was dry, I then used the same stencil to add some sparkly glitter paste over the top for texture and dimension.
Nothing beats a big, bold sentiment! For this card I used Big Bold Words Clear Stamp Set, which I found to be very versatile with being able to chop the sentiment and add an exclamation mark from another to create the one on this card.
I hope you enjoyed my first project for Hefty Doodle as much as I loved making it to share with you!
Have a fabulous week!
Steph 🙂
