Rainbow Birthday Wishes
Watercolor Rainbow Wash with Concentrated Watercolors
Hey, Crafty Friends!
One of my favorite techniques to incorporate when my crafty mojo has fled is watercolor washes.
I started out by laying down a wash of clean water on to a piece of watercolor cardstock. I then used my concentrated watercolors and dropped in a few drops of each color. I let the water do the work for me and blend everything!
I trimmed it down and then stamped a sentiment in versamark ink before heat embossing it with white embossing powder.
I trimmed down a piece of patterned paper from my stash and glued that on to a cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base.
To finish things off, I mounted some stamped and colored images from the Party Palooza set with foam tape, and then placed those on the card. I used my copic markers to color the images, and I love that I was able to match the vibrant watercolor background to my vibrant copic marker choices on the images!
Thanks for stopping by today and have a colorful day!
Kelly
