Quack me Up!
Hello friends!
Quack me up is such an adorable stamp set! So when I had to make my second card as a guest designer for the Heffy Doodle Blog post today, I definitely wanted to use this set! A small introduction about myself: My name is Nancy and I live in the Netherlands and have loved to make cards since the end of 2018. I love bright colors like yellow and green, but I’m really in love with teal colors!
You can find me on my Personal Blog, Instagram and Facebook.
Let’s talk about how this card comes together.
For this opportunity today, I wanted to use the sweet and funny Quack me up Stamps and had such a good vibe for a shaker card! I started by stamping my images on alcohol friendly paper with some alcohol friendly black ink. When the ink was dry enough, I colored them with alcohol markers. I wanted to make some cute male ducks for this occasion, so I used some green and brown colours for the little duckies. So adorable!
For the background, I started with a white card panel which measures 4.0 x 5.25 inches. I used the second largest mini Scalloped imperial dies to create a frame for my shaker. I ink blended the back panel what was left by creating the frame and for the colours, I used some pink oxides. After I was done ink blending, I splattered some white and pink paint over the whole background panel and set it aside to dry.
And, then, it was time to create the shaker card. First, I die cut a grass border with the Freshly Cut Grass dies with the patterned paper 6×6 Wild flowers. I cut some acetate with scissors to make it fit on my white scalloped frame. I glued it with liquid glue and I used Stazon ink for the sentiment. Then I used some shaker material from my stash. I used some Heffy Doodle foam tape ( 3mm) which is awesome for shaker cards. It has the perfect width and height for a shaker card. I placed the frame on the pink background panel. After that I placed the whole shaker panel on some Yellow striped cardstock which is also included in the Wildflower 6×6 paper pack. I glued the grass border on the acetate and placed all my colored images on the card panel with liquid glue and foam squares. I adhered everything on a white card base which measure 4.25 x 5.5 inch. I love how it turned out! I hope this card has made you excited to use the Quack me up stamp set soon!
Thank you so much for spending time with me and hopefully I see you next time!
Lots of Love,
X, Nancy
