Hello Everyone,
Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. Mother’s Day is approaching both in Hungary and in the USA so I decided to grab the most adorable hedgies and pair them with a couple of Heffy Cuts and stamps to create a super cute card for mum. Let’s dive in the details!
I started with stamping and colouring the hugging hedgies from
Quill you be mine with Copic markers. I used the
Alcohol marker friendly white cardstock from Heffy Doodle, it allows the ink blend beautifully. I cut them out with the
coordinating dies.
For the background I die cut the
Quilted Heart Background die from white cardstock, cut it down to be a bit smaller with a
Stitched Rectangle die and backed it with a slightly bigger kraft rectangle.
Then I took the
Stitched Hearts die set and cut different sized hearts out of pink cardstock and patterned paper. I arranged them on the white stitched background and popped up the hugging hedgehogs.
I covered the front of an A2 sized card base with the same patterned paper I used for the die cut heart and adhered the focal panel. For the sentiment I chose the
Special Day Sentiment Duos set and white heat embossed the Mother’s Day sentiment on a strip of textured brown cardstock. I adhered it under the hedgehogs and finished the card with using a black glaze pen on their noses.
