Hello Everyone,
It is ZSofi here, welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series. I need to boost my birthday card stash so I got you another unisex idea for a sweet wishes card. I combined
Sweet Stuff and
Party Palooza with a few
Heffy cuts dies. The colour inspiration came from the patterned paper – it is something I do often. Let me lead you through the process.
First I stamped the images with alcohol ink friendly black ink and used the Doodlebug Designs Kitten Smitten paper pad as my guide to choose the colours for the sweets: yellows, pinks, greens and aqua. I used three shades for each colour family and when I was done I added some dot details with my darkest marker and some highlights with a colourless blender. I also added some white gel pen dots too, it makes them so yummy! When they were dry I cut them out with the
coordinating dies.
To hold my sweets I die cut a white tag and a teal reinforcer using the
Tag Along die set. I arranged the macarons and cakes according to the photo and adhered them to the bottom of the tag.
I white heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment from
Party Palooza on dark grey cardstock and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I love die cut sentiments! I also white heat embossed another sentiment on a thin grey banner which I cut with a die from
Tag Along.
I used the
Stitched Rectangle die set to cut the largest from grey cardstock and the next in size from the patterned paper. I added twine to the tag and popped it up with 3D foam tape. I finished the card off with a bunch of mini clear seqiuns and added glossy accents to the macarons.
I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on

See you soon,
Zsofi
