Perfect Combos – Birthday Crocs
Hello Everyone,
It is Zsofi here, welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series. This time I mixed and matched my favourite crocs with birthday accessories to create a very cheerful birthday card. So whimsical that it can really make anyone smile, don’t you think?
I started with stamping the images from Happy Snappy Crocs and Party Palooza, and coloured them with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: JG7, JG5, LG4, LG2, GB5, GB2, GB1, CT4, CT2, CT1, IB3, IB2, IB1, EB8, EB5, EB3, BG5, BG2, BG1. Then I cut everything out with the coordinating dies.
For the background I used the Brick by brick stencil with Ranger Texture paste, which I have previously mixed with a bit of Black Sooth Distress Oxide ink. I used heavy weight white cardstock so it could handle all that paste without curling up too much. When the panel was dry, I did some light ink blending with Black Sooth Distress Oxide ink on the sides. I also blended a bit of black ink on a thin strip of white cardstock to serve as pavement.
I assembled the card adding all the accessories to the happy crocs. I used 3D foam squares to pop them up and heat embossed a sentiment on black cardstock from the Party Palooza set. I used the coordinating die to cut them out, it looks so cool when die cut!
I adhered it to the scene and added a few tiny star sequins to enhance the festivities. I also drew the balloon string with a black marker.
As a finishing touch I used a white gel pen, a clear sparkle pen and glossy accents.
I hope you enjoyed my card today and will pop in again soon for more inspiration!
See you,
Zsofi
