Peek-a-Boo Gulls
Hey crafty friends and HAPPPPPY FRRIIIDDAAYYY!! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day! 🙂
I’m super excited to share this fun card with you using some items from the new release! I have been having a BLAST playing with all these amazing stamps, dies, and stencils!
Keep scrolling to see how I made this card and pocket step-by-step!
To make this card, I’m going to start with a template that I made for making a DIY pocket fold. (Click on the image of the template to read my instructions.) Instead of cutting it an angle though, I’m going to use a stitched circle die to create 3 holes for my gulls to peek out. I’m also going to use the 2nd largest Stitched Rectangle Dies and cut 2 of that size.
On one of the stitched rectangles, I’m going to use Mustard Seed distress oxide and the Simply Radiant stencil. Using the 2nd stitched rectangle, I’m going to use the Breaking Waves Border Dies to create 3 waves and then I’m going to use Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans to color them. I’m using a water spritzer to create water droplets on the waves as well. On a piece of cardstock that is slightly bigger than the stitched rectangle, I’m creating a yellow border with Mustard Seed.
Next, I’m stamping the You Go, Gull and Sealy Friends images and sentiments with alcohol marker friendly Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I’m using the Whatcha’ Sayin’ stamp and dies for my word bubbles. I’m coloring all my images with Copic markers.
Now, I’m ready to start assembling my card! I’m cutting a sun from the Sun, Moon, and Stars Dies. I’m using 3D foam squares and liquid glue to adhere my images and sentiments to my card and pocket. I’m also adding just a little bit of bling!
That’s all there is to it! It’s such a happy card! I hope you enjoy it!
