Mix and Match: Ocean Birthday Hugs
Hey Heffy Doodlers! I hope you had an amazing weekend and are off to an amazing start of the new week! I’m just on a beach vacation with a little spare time to share this beachy card with you! Don’t you just love how the Heffy Doodle stamp sets mix and match so well together?! ME TOO!
Today, I’m sharing this card that uses the Shellebrate, A Little Shellfish, and You Go Gull stamp sets.
To create this card, I’m going to begin with making my background. I’m using the largest Scalloped Imperial Frame Die and the 2nd largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I’m blending Frayed Burlap and Antique Linen on the scalloped frame and Abandoned Coral and Carved Pumpkin on my rectangle background.
Next, I’m going to create my beach and waves with the Breaking Waves Dies and the Stitched Slopey Joe Dies. For the waves I’m blending Broken China and Evergreen Bough. For the beach, I’m using Frayed Burlap and Antique Linen again.
For the splotching, I’m spritzing water onto all the pieces and using Splatter Stamps with gold ink.
Now, I’m ready to stamp and color my ocean friends. Again, I’m using Shellebrate, A Little Shellfish, and You Go Gull stamp sets. I’m also using the Wavy Banner Sentiments. I am using Copic markers to color all of my images and then die cutting them with the coordinating dies.
I’m ready to assemble my card now! I’m using 3D foam squares and Glubert glue to adhere everything to my card.
Thank you all so much for stopping by the Heffy Doodle blog today! I’m hoping you’re feeling inspired by the card I created! Happy crafting! Xoxo, Amanda
