January Challenge – Slim Down with Slimlines

Hey crafty friends, it’s Amanda Stevens again, here to announce the winner of the December challenge and issue a new one for January! I’d like to thank everyone who entered the Heffy Doodlers Tag, You’re It! Challenge last month. There were some really great ideas and fun tags! Make sure you’ve joined the Heffy Doodlers group on Facebook. You can share your projects and meet new crafty friends. I try to share Lesley’s weekly videos there too as soon as she goes live.

I know you’re excited to see who won, so please help me congratulate Leeds Craftroom on her winning entry! Aren’t her holiday tags adorable? Who wouldn’t love a package wrapped up with one of these sweet tags? All entries (except those by Lesley and the current design team) were assigned a number, in order of posting. We used random.org to choose the winning number.

Are you ready for the next challenge? Since it’s January, and that usually means new year’s resolutions, I thought I’d offer an alternative to the standard “this year I’m going to slim down” one we all make. Instead, let’s trim down our cards with slimline designs! Create a slimline card using Heffy Doodle products (mostly) and enter to win a £35 gift card! The challenge starts now in the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group, and runs through January 31st, 2021. Want to see my inspirational card?

I couldn’t resist playing with the Chimply the Best set to create a fun birthday card. Of course, the Stitched Slimline Trio and Slimline Pull Tab dies helped cut perfect borders for the layers. Head on over to my blog for all of the details, more photos of the no-line coloring process, and the Copic colors I used.

Inspired to play along? Pull out your Heffy Doodle stamps and create a slimline of your own! To enter, go to the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group and post a picture of your project in the January 2021 Challenge album (it will be pinned to the top). Enter as many cards as you like. The winner will be randomly chosen from all entries posted prior to Midnight (UT) on January 31, 2021. You are not limited to cards, feel free to post tags, scrapbook pages, home decor projects, etc. Just be sure the bulk of the stamps and dies used are from Heffy Doodle, and that your project features a slimline layout.
