It’s Time to Shellabrate!
It’s time to Shellabrate! Hi friends, it’s Cassie here. We’re getting closer and closer to release day for the new Heffy products, and we’re so excited for you crafty peeps to get your hands on these cute new goodies. I’m popping in today to remind you that if you pre-order, you’ll get the cute Shellabrate stamp set! (Spend over 45, and get the dies too).
So, it’s only fitting that because I’m reminding you about the set, that I made a card using the cute little turtle. Today, I’ve got a cute interactive card that makes use of a couple new stamps, actually. Here’s a look at my project.
I started today’s card by die cutting a balloon out of a piece of 110lb A2 size cardstock. Then I masked off stripes on the piece and ink blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink over the paper. I spritzed it with my Distress Sprayer and carefully took off the pieces of washi tape I used for the masking. This is exactly the same technique as when I make the Hello Squeekheart card last month. Next I took my card base and ink blended the same color over where the balloon was, so that you would see blue through the balloon cut out, and added some Blueprint Sketch to the edges.
I used my gold embossing powder and VersaMark ink to heat emboss my sentiment on the front of the balloon, and then stamped little pieces from Interactively Yours to show where the card opened. Then I scored the balloon and added adhesive to the fold so that it would fold upwards. I adhered the panel to the card base and the balloon to it as well. Then I stamped the turtle and some party images from Party Palooza for the turtle. They were all cut out with the coordinating die cuts.
I stamped “it’s your birthday inside the pop up with VersaMark and heat embossed white embossing powder over. I did the same with the little heart from the set so that it looked like bubbles. Then I added the turtle to the card with some tape runner along with his accessories.
To finish it off I added some little white gel pen dots to the water and some shimmer pen to the hearts. And that’s it for me today! I hope you enjoyed the card I created. What items have you pre-ordered already? Or what’s on your wishlist?
Have a great day, crafty friends! I’ll see you again soon with another card!
