It’s Freaking Meow-t!

Hi, and welcome back Heffy Doodle friends! It’s Cassie here, and I’m back with another card to share. Today’s card makes use of the Jet Alphabetters stamp set to create a custom sentiment that I’ve had knocking around in my head. I love being able to really mix things up with this set! 

How fun is this? I started by using my Misti stamping tool to help me line up the letters from Jet Alphabetter. I wanted to get the spacing as close to perfect as I could manage. These bold little letters help with that. They just seem to line up easily. Once I had “it’s freaking’ stamped I ink blended a piece of paper with the Distress Oxides Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, and Twisted Citron. Then I die cut the next word: “meowt.” As in, you’re freaking meow-t! 🙂 Those letters were adhered directly below my stamped letters.

Then I took the sentiment from Unbearable Without You, and finished my sentiment below that. Whew! With that done, it was on to the coloring. I had a bunch of the cats, baskets and yarn balls from Mewniverse so I colored those in and die cut them out. It’s so nice to have one step done and already have the images I want to use stamped out. It may seem silly but it saves me time! Once they were cut out I masked off a line at the bottom for a ground and ink blended Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide over it so the kitten had something to sit on.

The cat and his basket of yarn was adhered with liquid adhesive, and some pieces were popped up with foam tape. I finished with some white gel pen accents for a little more detail and that was it!
