I’m So Lucky
Hi, my crafty friends! It’s Cassie here, and I’m back to share a a colorful card with you today. I’m so happy it’s finally Friday, and I’m so ready for the weekend! How about you all? It’s time to hunker down in the craft room for a couple days…well, if only! Today’s card is a perfect one to send to someone you are thankful to have in your life.
I started today’s card by stamping a striped background stamp onto a kraft piece of card stock that had been die cut using the Clover Frame dies. I started by stamping in white ink, then shifted my paper and used my Distress Oxide inks to create this rainbow stamping. I let that dry completely and then I stamped the sentiment from Lucky Friends in VersaMark ink and heat embossed black embossing powered on top.
Next I stamped one of the leprechauns from the same set onto some 110 lb smooth card stock and colored him in with my Copics. I really wanted him to be different than the other leprechauns I had colored in the past, so instead of following the traditional green suit, I made him wear a black suit with rainbow accessories. I really like the way it turned out! After die cutting him with the die from the Clover Frames set I adhered both pieces to the kraft piece.
To finish the card I added some white gel pen dots around the leprechaun and attached the panel to a card base. And my card was complete! I hope you enjoyed this card for today! So, how soon do you get to hunker down in your craft room or space for the weekend?? Who else is counting down the minutes!? I hope you get in there sooner rather than later! Happy crafting!
