How to Create a Spotlight on your Cards
Hello, Heffy Doodlers! Happy Monday to you! Hopefully your week is off to a great start! Today, I get to share a card with you – which means my week is going great so far!
Today, I’m showing you a super easy way to create a spotlight on your card!
To create the spotlight, I’m taking a black piece of cardstock trimmed to 4″x5.25″ and using a Stitched Circle Die right in the center.
I’m, then, stamping my images from the You Go, Gull and Oceans of Love stamp sets. I’m coloring them with Copic markers and adding accents with a white gel pen.
For my sentiment, I’m using the Roundabout Sentiments on a Curved Banner Die on a piece of coloured cardstock.
On my card base, I’ve blended Maker Forte’s Acid Wash and Blue Raspberry Color Hive inks. I’ve also spritzed it with water and some water/white paint mix to create some texture. I’ve adhered my black cardstock to my card base, propping it up with Deep Foam Tape. Using 3D foam squares, I’m propping up my stamped images. The banner will stay up by itself, so I’m just using Glubert Glue on the edges to hold it.
That’s it for me today, friends! Don’t forget to follow me on IG to see all my cards! Xx, Amanda
