Holiday Warm Hugs Slimline Card
Hi crafty friends! Welcome to another Color Me Happy Wednesday with Claudia (@mrsclocards). Summer has gone and I’m already in holiday mood: I always end up needing more Christmas cards and this year I’m trying to avoid last minute crafting LOL Today’s card was made combining the Wanna Build A Snowman stamp and dies set with the Slimline Mini Mail dies and the newly released Warm Hugs Jumbo Sentiment Dies.
For this card I started with a sheet of Heffy Doodle White Cardstock on which I ink blended Distress Oxide in Tattered Rose, Candied Apple and Aged Mahogany. Later I splattered some white, gold and red watercolors and I die cut it using the big frame from the Slimline Mini Mail dies.
I stamped penguins and presents from the Wanna Build a Snowman stamp set and I colored them with Copic markers.
COPIC COLORS
PENGUINS: W1, W3, W5, W7 – YG04, YG07, YG09 – R20, R22, R24, R27, R29
GIFTS: R20, R22, R24, R27, R29
I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and I filled some spaces with Pale Gold Nuvo Drops to give more dimension.
For the sentiment I used the Warm Hugs Jumbo Sentiment Dies on a piece of white glitter foam and I placed it in the middle of the card. I made three small branches by using a little die from the Leafy Laurel Circle dies and I colored the dots using the Pale Gold Nuvo Drops.
Once everything was dry I placed all the elements on the card and I also added a few sequins and jewels from the Firefly Sparkle Mix, then I glued the red panel on a white slimline card base.
Happy crafting!
