Hip Hip Hooray Shaker Tag
Hello, Heffy Doodlers! Tallie back with you again today.
What do you do when you need a gift tag to match a very sparkly gift? You make one, of course! My shaker tag today features the new Tag Shaker dies, Flock Star stamps and the Wavy Banner Sentiments stamps and dies. Add in a handful of sequins and you have a cute and matching gift tag to brighten up your present!
The new Tag Shaker dies make it really easy to create. I started out by die cutting the tag elements from white cardstock for the back, acetate for the window and a piece of the new Spring Breeze Patterned Paper. The Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine is perfect for these smaller dies! After cutting, I adhered the acetate window to the front and used some 3mm Deep Foam Tape (5mm width) to to create the shaker part.
Before I adhered the back, I added some sequin mixes to create the shaker element. I chose a mix between Tickled Pink and Sugared Berries Sparkle Mixes. I then adhered the back to complete the shaker portion! Quick and simple with these dies!
I stamped, coloured and die cut the two flamingos from the Flock Star stamp set, adhering them directly to the front window. I didn’t quite have any matching cardstock, so I ink blended some Abandoned Coral Distress Ink onto some cardstock. I then stamped out the Hip Hip Hooray sentiment from the Wavy Banner Sentiments stamp set and die cut with the coordinating die. A couple of extra hearts with a white gel pen gave the banner that cute finishing touch!
The final element was the bow. Again, I die cut this from some ink blended card stock to match the sentiment banner. Here’s a little tip: add two small squares of foam tape behind the bows and your bow will have a more dimensional look, rather than staying flat.
A little twine to add through the punched hole and you have a cute shaker tag to add some sparkle to any gift!
