Hello Love
Hi Heffy Doodle friends! Welcome back to the blog. It’s Cassie here, and I’m back to share a card I made with you all. Today’s card is so bright and fun, I just love how it turned out. It was one of those days when everything just seemed to work on the first try. Don’t you love those days?!
I have to admit, these are some of my favorite colors together. Pink, teal and sunshine yellow…does it get any better than that?? I started the card today by stamping the ‘hello’ from Big Bold Words with VersaMark ink onto the center of a panel I cut using the stitched rectangle from Clover Frame dies. I masked off the ‘you’ of the sentiment so that I only got the ‘hello’ portion stamped. I used gold embossing powder and melted that with a heat gun. Embossing never looks as good in my pictures as it does in real life, but the shiny gold is so pretty with the other colors!
Next I die cut out the word love with the Love Heffy Cut die from just under the embossed hello. Because it over lapped the gold embossing I ended up die cutting another one to do some inlay work. The word love was ink blended with my Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and placed back into the die cut negative like a puzzle. If you’ve seen my some of my projects in the past, you know I love mixing and matching to create my own sentiments.
Next I stamped and colored the bear and umbrella from the Beary Big Heart set with my Copic markers. They were both die cut out with the coordinating dies. I also added some white gel pen accents to them for a little interest. Before I glued the bear and his umbrella down I decided I needed a little something more at the top of the card to balance it out. I used a sun beam stencil and ink blended Wild Honey Distress Ink over it to get the sun beams. Then I die cut a stitched circle and ink blended it with Wild Honey as well. I wanted my sun to have cute little face so I heat embossed one from the Party Palooza set on it with black embossing powder. I also gave it pink cheeks 🙂 I attached it with foam tape and trimmed off the part that hung over the card.
Finally, I attached the bear and umbrella to the card. The bear was adhered with glue and the umbrella was adhered with foam tape to add some dimension. And that’s my card for today! Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the card. I’ll see you again soon with another one!
