Hello Honey!
Hey there!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
I’ve got a very simple card for you that’s really easy to re-create with any of the stamps in your collection! All you need is a focal image and some supporting smaller images.
I started out by coloring some images from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set. I used my copic markers to bring them to life and then I used the matching dies to cut them out.
Do you ever get intimidated by trying a new technique and then sit there and look at the finished card panel that displays your new technique for WEEKS before you figure out what to do with it? This happens to me all the ever-loving time, and I HATE it! I think what is the hardest for me to get over is this crazy card panel that is not really good for anything except the trash can. I often forget that I can use just a portion of it for a card.
Anyway, I tried a technique for this card that I don’t normally incorporate. I scribbled different Distress Markers on to an acrylic block and then misted the block with water and then pressed the block on to my watercolor cardstock. This gave me a nice watercolor blended look!
I cut a 4.25 x 5.5 in. card panel and then used a circle die to cut out a window in the middle of the panel. In order to make sure I had enough spacing for my sentiment, I went ahead and stamped that out, too. I also used a small flower image from the same stamp set to fill in the white space on the card panel.
I put some foam tape on the back of the window card panel and adhered it on to the watercolor blended panel so that the window was centered over the colorful part. I then glued the bunny and carrot images on to the floral window panel before adhering the whole thing on to a cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 in. card base.
This type of card could easily be made to fit any type of occasion and is easily mass-produced. Just choose a few of your favorite images and experiment with your water-soluble markers!
Thanks again for stopping by today, and happy crafting!
Kelly
