Heffy Halloween – Day 1!
Hi everyone, Lesley here (aka Hungry Heffy ) A few weeks ago, we received a message on Facebook asking for inspiration on how to use non-themed stamps for Halloween cards. Of course, I took on the challenge!
Throughout the next few days, we will be sharing a series of short videos where we have dressed up our Heffy Doodle critters so they are ready for the spookiest holiday of the year!
Let’s take a start by looking at our first video!
For this card, I stamped and coloured the cute bear from the Unbearable Without You Stamp set.I used a copic multiliner to add some other doodles to him, like his trousers, his scars and the bolts coming from his neck – to give him a halloweeny feel! Next I coloured him in with some green tones, but then used a little orange for his cheeks – to give him an eerie glow.
To turn him into a card, I reached for my embossing dots die from Cheery Lynn – I have a few sets of these dies, and I thought the oval would work great – so I ran it through my Big Shot to create a frame shape. Underneath I used a stamp from Clearly Besotted to stamp Happy Halloween, and then used Lawn Fawn Milo’s ABCs to emboss TRICK OR TREAT onto some purple card, die cut into a banner shape.
To finish off the card, I added some candy from the Heffy Doodle Ad-roar-able Lions stamp set. The perfect sweet treat for this Halloweeny card!
Thanks for stopping by, and I will be back tomorrow with another HEFFY HALLOWEEN video!
Happy Crafting!
Lesley
