Happy Bird-Day!
Hi folks, I am Kavya from @handmadebykavya and I am super excited to be guest designing for Heffy Doodle today. If you are already familiar with my work, you would know that I love creating critter scenes, playing with color and expanding my supplies. I can’t wait to show you how to do the same with Heffy Doodle’s products too!
For my first project this month, I decided to pull out my Wingman stamp set. If you like coloring, this set provides you with endless possibilities. I started off by stamping and diecutting a bunch of images from this set. Then, I colored them using alcohol markers by following some images of birds I found online as a guide. Later, I added lots of details to the birds using a white gel pen to make them more realistic. Adding extra details truly brings them to life!
For the background, I ink blended an A2 sized cardstock using Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Tattered Rose and Antique Linen. Splatter some white paint for some extra drama! Then, I used a tree branch die to create some branches. Feel free to find a similar product from your stash. You can also skip this step and just arrange the birds on the background or surround them with clouds if you’d like. Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set on colored cardstock and adhered all the elements using some foam tape for extra dimension.
That’s it! I hope this project inspired you today 🙂
Happy Crafting!
