Go Wild – It’s Your Birthday!

Hi everyone, Jordanna here and I’m back with another fun and colourful card that I’m also sharing over on our YouTube channel. You can watch it here.

I love to mix and match my stamp sets and I couldn’t resist pulling a number of different stamps out to create this jungle party scene. Let me show you how I achieved this look.

I started by colouring and die cutting all my cute little images – I used a bunch of stamp sets (Mane Squeeze, 2 x 2 Zoo Animals, 2 x 2 Safari Animals, Chimply the Best, Popping By and Hootiful) but shop your stash to see what you have – Heffy Doodle stamps all work so well together!

Next up, I ink blended my background panel and used the UnbeLEAFable Stencil to add some details. I also ink blended the Freshly Cut Grass die cut, which I extended to make it fit my slimline panel. I created a frame for my card by stacking the two largest of the Stitched Slimline Trio dies together and cut this from some Wintergreen Cardstock.

Then it was time to assemble everything. I popped the frame and grass up on some Heffy Doodle Foam Tape to add some dimension and layered my animals, so some were popped up and some were in the background. Whatever you do, don’t forget to add the sentiment! I did and had to live a little dangerously by adding it after everything was assembled, but I really don’t recommend this tactic! I used the Wild At Heart Sentiments as they work so well with these critters.
