Giraffe Love – Framing a Panel
Hello, Heffy Doodlers, Tallie here! The new release is here and I’m back today with this Giraffe Love birthday card, featuring a bunch of new products: Two By Two Safari Animals, Koality Hugs, Heart Masquerade Stencil, Farmyard Fun and Whimsically Wonky Metric Rectangles. I love the new safari animals, so get ready to see a whole lot more!

Giraffe Love Birthday Card Tutorial
Firstly, I started out by die cutting a white panel using the largest Whimsically Wonky Metric Rectangle. Next, I inked on some Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink over the Heart Masquerade Stencil. The die and the stencil provide a really fantastic way of framing a panel, giving you a head start to arrange the focal elements!

Then, I stamped out the two giraffes and the leaves from Two By Two Safari Animals and the tree from Koality Hugs. As well as the giraffes, these extra bits will help to ‘ground’ the scene to avoid it looking like the giraffes are gloating in mid air! I coloured them in with my Copic alcohol markers and then die cut these out with the coordinating dies.

Next, I arranged the die cuts on the panel over the inked background heart. I’m going to be sending this through the post so I adhered it with glue, but this would also be amazing if you added some dimension with some foam tape!

The final touch was to add a sentiment. I went for a two-tone sentiment selected from the Farmyard Fun stamp set – ‘Sending You LOADS of Love’. I stamped out the LOADS in the Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to match the background.

This is a really fun way to send some love, so try it out – pair a background die and stencil for an easy starting point to framing your cards!
