Exclusive New Stamp with Crafty Meraki

Hello everyone! It’s Ashley with a card featuring a brand new stamp – Superstar! Yay for new stamps! I just love the cute smiling star in the Superstar set and decided to use it to try my hand at some no line coloring.

I started by stamping the star several times on Alcohol Marker Friendly cardstock with Inkon3 Fade Out ink. I then used Copic markers to color the entire piece. For my first try at no-line coloring, I’m pretty happy with the results! I die cut the piece with Imperial Stitched Rectangles and set it aside.

I thought it would be fun to have the sentiment backlit on the card, so I pulled out my light up card supplies from Pear Blossom Press and Chibitronics and got to work. I stamped my sentiment in VersaMark ink on new Huckleberry cardstock and embossed with white. I marked the spot for four lights on my Copic colored piece and punched holes, then marked those same spots on a navy cardbase. I stamped another star on Alcohol Marker Friendly cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics before cutting it out. I decided where I wanted to place it and marked that location on my base for the EZ Press power pack.

I created my circuit on the Huckleberry card base, then added the Copic colored piece on top with new extra thick Foam Tape. I only needed one layer! I popped the sentiment up with more foam tape to allow the light to shine out behind it. The effect is subtle, but still nice. I adhered the star over the button to finish the card. So much fun!
