Elfish Holidays
Hey Y’all!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I’m here with a really festive but super simple card for you today.
I started out by stamping the images from the Elfish Antics stamp set in a copic safe black ink. I had originally planned to use my copic markers for this card, but then I got the urge to break out my zigs instead! After the images had dried, I colored them with my zig markers and then used the matching die set to cut them out. For the elf girl and the elf boy, I fussy cut them out rather than using the dies.
After I finished cutting everything out, I glued them on to my card panel in this little scene set up. I wanted it to look like the elf girl didn’t care about any of the toys or gifts, and all she was really reaching for was her elf guy!
I then used the Jet Alphabetters stamp set to stamp out the sentiment, mixing it with one of the sentiment words from the Elfish Antics set.
I finished off the panel by using a small circle stamp to put confetti like dots all over the panel in green and red dye inks.
After glueing my panel on to my 4.25 x 5.5 card base, I thought the card looked a little plain, so I used a postage die from Avery Elle to cut a frame for the card, and voila! That gave me the finishing touch I needed.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
