Creative Ways to use Halloween Dies

Hello! It’s Kari here with a new video to share with Creative Ways to use your Halloween Dies. I just adore these dies from Heffy Doodle, and today I’m sharing more ways to stretch those dies!

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I was inspired by those purple, black and white candy corns (have you ever tried them)? I hear they are a blackberry cobbler flavor, which sounds interesting, but I’ve never seen them in real life!

I started out die cutting the spooky tree from the Elm Street Dies in black cardstock four times. I used this as a decorative element to the background! I think it looks spooky and elegant at the same time. Arrange four of these on the background cardstock for a designer element.

Next, Die cut the Trick Or Treat Jumbo Word die three times from cardstock and stack it up with liquid adhesive. This will make it stronger and easier to ink blend the colors. I used the purple candy corn colors for this die cut as well. Then add clear embossing powder over the top to make a really shiny embellishment! (see my video for a neat shortcut trick to do this).

See that shine?!

Color up some Candy Corn from the Costume Critters Stamp set and die cut them out using the Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cut Machine. I love having this on my desk for easy die cutting!

Now it’s time to put the entire card together. Add the Sentiment to the background. Add the candy corn scattered about, and some sequins & gems from the Hocus Pocus or Royal Mist Sparkle Mix.

I’ve put together a list of supplies I used, with affiliate links when possible. If you purchase using these links, I may receive a small commission. Thank you SO MUCH if you use these links!

I hope you enjoyed this Halloween project today! Thanks for stopping by!
