Creating a Fun Gothic Castle Inspired Halloween Card

Hello everyone! Jordy here with a fun video showing you how I made this Gothic Castle inspired Halloween card.

You can watch the video here or read on to see how this card came together.

To start with, I took some Holy Mackerel cardstock and cut an aperture using the smallest window from the Cathedral Window Die Set. Using the Bits and Bytes Stencil and some grey ink, I stenciled over this cardstock to create a grey brick wall.

I then used the large spider web from the Let’s Hang Out Stamp Set to stamp in a couple of places using some white pigment ink. I white heat embossed the ‘Trick or Treat’ sentiment from the Fangtastic Furballs Stamp Set in the upper left hand corner.

Next it was time to attach some Extra Thick Clear Acetate to the back of my panel and glue the window frame from the Cathedral Window Die, which I had cut from some Oreo Crunch cardstock into the aperture. I topped my panel with the cute little bat and spider from the Let’s Hang Out Stamp Set.

After that, it was time to work on the scene behind the window. I took some Banana Split Cardstock and cut it to fit behind my grey window panel. I glued my coloured images from the Fangtastic Furballs Stamp Set onto this yellow cardstock so that they would be seen behind my window frame.

I just adore this little dog brewing up his magic potion! All that was left to do, was to attach my grey window panel onto my yellow panel using some foam tape to give a little bit of dimension. I finished my card by attaching my panel to a white card base. My cute little gothic castle inspired card was complete!

I had so much fun making this one and I really hope it inspires you to make a fun Halloween card too.

Happy crafting!
