Canine Chaos!
Hello, crafters! Tallie back here with some inspiration for you today. My card features a very mischevious canine friend! He’s caused a little bit of chaos, resulting in this inside out birthday card! I used a couple of the canine themed sets from Heffy Doodle: Hot Diggity Dog and Who Let the Dogs Out.
I started outby stamping out the chaotic garden scene on the inside of the card onto a panel of Alcohol Marker Friendly Cardstock using some Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I then coloured the scene in with my alcohol markers.
I added lots of detail to the background with my markers – some light ground and sky details to cohere the scene.
The fun part was to completely mess up my scene by using just one small stamp and a little bit of Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Ground Expresso. I wanted the pawprints effect, brought about by this cheeky canine trampling through the mud! I used a double stamping technique – stamping twice, the second time with the leftover ink on the stamp – to get some variation in the prints.
I carried this design onto the front of my card, stamping out some pawprint tracks and finishing off with an appropriate sentiment!
A fun card that looks a little boring from the outside, but adds a little bit of chaos from the moment it is opened!
