Bug Hugs Bookmark
Hi, everyone! It’s Cassie here and I’m back to share a cute bookmark I made for my sister today! In the summer we tend to read a lot, so I thought it would be a fun and easy gift to give her as a kick off to our reading season. With the Mark My Words dies it’s so easy to put a bookmark together for someone…or yourself!
I started by die cutting two of the bookmarks with the circle on the top and glued them together. I wanted the bookmark to be sturdy and hold up better, and this helped. Then I stamped on my elements. I used the Big Bug Hugs stamp set to decorate the front. The only thing that was popped up with foam tape was the front grass. Everything else that I stamped was flat.
I colored the images in with my Copics and ink blended on some of the Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink for the sky. Finally, I die cut one of the circles from the Stitched Circles dies and the M from the Stitched Alphabetters die set and put them together to personalize the bookmark for my sister. And that was it for my project! I hope you enjoyed it 🙂 Who else tends to go through more books in the summer?? I’m excited to crack into a new book soon and I might have to make myself a bookmark like this one for the occasion! Thanks so much for stopping by. I’ll see you again soon with another project!
