Big jump!
Hello, crafty friends!
My name is Mirjam, and today I am thrilled to write a blog post for Heffy Doodle. It’s my first blog post since joining the Design Team, and I couldn’t be more excited! Woo-hoo!
When I received this opportunity, I jumped up and down with excitement just like the frogs on my card today.
This card marks the beginning of Heffy Doodle’s new blog series, Happy Vibes.
Let me guide you through the process of creating this adorable frog card.
To create this card, I started by die-cutting a piece of light blue cardstock using the largest die from the Mini Scalloped Rectangle Dies.
Using Heffy Doodle Memotape, I carefully secured the Ripple Waves Stencil in place to prevent any shifting and ensure a crisp ink impression. To add depth to the card, I used two shades of blue distress oxides.
To make my card vibrant and save time, I love using Colored Cardstock as a base for ink blending.
These cute frogs are from the “Be Hoppy” Stamp Set. After stamping them with Memento Ink on white paper, I colored each frog using my Copic markers. Finally, I used the Coordinating Dies and the Heffy Doodle Mini Die-Cutting Machine to cut out all the elements.
For the sentiment, I decided to emphasize the words “jump jump jump” in the foreground. I die-cut the letters from green cardstock using the Moxie Alphabet Dies. To add dimension, I also die-cut the letters from black cardstock and layered them as shadows behind the green letters.
The last step was to assemble all the components onto my card, using foam tape to elevate the frogs.
I hope that today’s project has sparked inspiration in you. See you next time!
X Mirjam
