Best Birthday in the Mewniverse!!!

It´s Maria here back with a new interactive card to share with you on this monday !!!

During the Pre-Order period of Release 3 you were able to receive the cute Mewniverse stampset with your preorder. When Lesley first revealed it to the Designteam I knew that I had to have it to make a birthdaycard with it for a good local friend that is obsessed with cats.

The little cat with the ball of wool and it´s basket is just so very cute.  And as my friend loves interactive and special cards as well i decided to make it extra special with using not only one but two interactive elements.

I cut some whisper white paper for my cardbase and layered a diecut panel from DSP on top of it. Before I glued it down with foamdots I cut a frame out of it using several stitched cirlce dies.  I had seen this technique from the amazing Snow but I couldn´t find a tutorial for it online. So i tried my own mechanism which included the frame and another bigger frame underneath the panel and foamdots. I adhered both frames together and put the center circle in the middle using the foamdots so that the outer DSP frame was able to spin arround.

Arround the edge of the circle on the panel I stamped  “slide me” and two dotted arrown  from the Interactively yours stampset to make sure that the recipient knows that he has to slide the inner circle. To make it easier to slide it i stamped, colored and diecut 8 balls of wool in all the colors of the rainbow and adhered them  using foam dots. In the middle of the center I put the cute cat in it´s basket and made the ribbon arround in rainbowcolors as well to pick up the theme.

The sentiment for the card was a bit tricky as i had to tweak it to make it work for a birthdaycard. I used some stamps from different heffy Doodle sets including Hello Squeakheart, Happy Snappy crocs and the Mewniverse stampset. I stamped it down using my stamppositioning tool and i was so happy with the result. To finish the top off i added some nice blue sequins to match the DSP. Bling and Birthday just belong together….and they start with the same letter HAHAHAHAHA.

For the inside I wanted to add a little pop up element using the new Pivot Pop-Up die from lawn fawn. I cut the elemnt from some purple and blue DSP and added another cat, basket and ball of wool and also a little mouse with cheese from the Hello Squeekheart stampset. I colored them using watercolors and added some white gel pen details as usual.

Making these kind of cards is always a lot of fun and I can tell you that my friend loved and was hard to stop to play with it .
