Beary Big Heart
Hey Heffy Doodlers!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
Have you heard about the summer challenge we’ve got going on here at Heffy Doodle? It’s all about the things you love in the summer time, and you have a chance to win the entire new release which is coming soon! Read about the challenge here.
I live in South Carolina and let’s just take a second to talk about something that is part of every summer here in the South:
Rain.
When we get into the summer months, pop-up thunderstorms are pretty much a daily occurrence. Every afternoon between 3:00 and 5:00 pm, you can pretty much set your clocks to the rain showers!
Now let’s get to the card!
I stamped some images from the Beary Big Heart stamp set with black ink on to white cardstock and then colored them with my copic markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen. I then used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and then I set them aside.
I cut out a 4.25 x 5.5 in. card panel and then used a stitched rectangle die and my embossing mat to emboss the die into my card panel. I used some painters tape to mask off the edges of the panel and used some various colors of distress ink to blend a stormy sky and soggy wet ground for my bears too stand on.
I glued my images on to my card panel and then embossed a sentiment on to the panel using versamark ink and white embossing powder.
I finished off the card by adhering my card panel on to a cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 in. card base.
Thanks again for stopping by and have fun with the Summer Lovin’ Challenge!
